History

The Globe Inn was built by Charles Quail in 1847 as an Inn. The locally famous ball room has been used in  any number of local events, such as theatre productions, horse auctions, and balls. The building retains its original Australian Georgian Style, with its original Australian cedar doors and windows. During the first half to the 20th Century the Inn was converted first into a private house then a boarding house and eventually into individual flats. In the 1990s Globe Inn was lovingly restored  by its owners and  has been run as a successful bed and breakfast for the last 15 years.
